Project Context

Target Beneficiaries

Rural street vendors selling homegrown ethnic vegetables and fruits in urban markets, many of whom face daily income uncertainty.

Pilot Locations

Tezpur and Guwahati, selected due to high vendor footfall and significant perishable food wastage.

The Problem

  • • 60–70% of vendors face storage constraints
  • • Unsold produce is wasted or sold at distress prices
  • • High transport, rental, and spoilage losses
  • • Centralized cold storages are inaccessible

Our Solution

  • • Decentralized micro cold storages near markets
  • • Pay-As-Per-Use pricing model
  • • Mobile app for booking & inventory tracking
  • • IoT monitoring & AI-based weight estimation
  • • Future roadmap includes solar-powered units
